" Gears of War Fan Site Kit Emerges Online

As the threat of Emergence Day approaches, Microsoft Game Studios has announced the first of many tools to combat the impending Locust Horde: the Gears of War® Fan Site Kit, now available for download via the game's official community site.

The 102 MB download contains all the means necessary to help Gears of War troopers build a fansite in preparation for Emergence Day. The kit contains concept art, forum avatars, screenshots, desktop wallpaper, and much more.

Gears of War thrusts gamers into humankind’s epic battle for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish race of creatures that surface from the bowels of the planet Sera. Blending the best of tactical action games with the best of survival horror titles, Gears of War features beautifully rendered interactive environments with cinematic, high-definition visuals. Gears of War will launch on Emergence Day 2006."
