Although the price for batteries is steep the price for this 2-player laser pursuit set only runs around $39, which is pretty affordable for such a fun product.

How accurate are these laser Plasma Pistols to the real in-game thing you may ask? Well they come pretty close with realistic firing sounds and the inclusion of multiple firing modes they truly feel spot on.
If you hold the trigger down for over 3 seconds the Plasma Pistol will be ready to release that infamous super shot that has lowered our shield in Halo 3 on so many occasions and led us to whining over Xbox LIVE.  Once you use the super shot the pistol will overheat and disable the gun for 5 seconds, if you happen to actually hit your opponent expect the super shot to remove three of your six shield levels, while a standard shot removes ones.

Some of you may have read reviews of the advanced laser pursuit Plasma Pistol which includes a ammo counter, this 2-player set is a bit slimed down in that sense and does not include the LED counter and also doesn’t have as much detail as the more expensive single Plasma Pistol, but really that is not needed unless you are buying these just to show off. When starting a game your pistol has an energy ammo count of one hundred, each single shot removes two ammo points, while super shots will drain your pistol of 10 ammo points. When the power on the pistol is turned on it glows green and when you shoot the lights glow brighter, making it that much more fun to play at night with you friends.
Once your target is hit it flashes red indicating you are about to be get owned.  Run for cover and wait 20 seconds for your health bars to instantly regenerate, if you are completely depleted they will regenerate in 5 seconds. One of the cool things about the target and pistol is that after 10minutes of total inactivity they will automatically go into a sleep mode, preventing you from draining those precious batteries.

I highly recommend the Halo 3 Covenant Two Player Laser Pursuit set for anyone who is a fan of Halo or just wants to have some good sweat inducing fun. I highly recommend buying two full sets of plasma pistols so you can dual wield and so you can place a target on your back and on your chest for increased realism. Definitely check these out even if you just want to hang them on your wall next to some Master Chief posters.
