In March there was a rumour flying around that Resident Evil 5 was expected to hit the shelves as early as October (possibly Halloween). This was in the support of the rumour that was released in Aprils issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly. Now news has been circulated that the title has now been pushed back to November. BOOO HOOO (that meant to be myself crying)
I know it is only a month extra we have to wait, but to me that is a month too long! But I am still happy to know that 2008 will be the release year, I don’t think I could stand to hear that the title would be pushed back to 2009! After hearing about Splinter Cell Conviction, I don’t think my life would be worth living if this was the case with Resident Evil. News has also spread that Sherry Birkin ( the young girl who assisted Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2) will play a role in Resident Evil 5. Since the game takes place 10 years after Resident Evil 2, that puts Birkin at about 22 years old- which is just the perfect zombie killing age!

Also there are rumours about the second playable character in the supposed Co-op. People have been wondering if in fact Sherry Birkin will be the second character that you can play with. Also news has cropped up that there should be a trailer released on the 31st May, if you go over to the official site you will see a countdown/ count up, ticking away. Nobody knows what it is for yet, but we all have to watch this space for more news. Is it a countdown for the release of the trailer or have Capcom got something else up their sleeve?
